Jay Leach is a sculptor living and working in Portland, Maine, where she attends the Maine College of Art & Design as a Sculpture Major with an expected graduation in spring 2025. Her love for art has spanned her entire life, and she continues to work in many different mediums, such as paint, wood, and yarn. Jay has an infatuation with using deer as both a representation of herself and of tough emotions, and deer appear in much of her work. She also has a heavy interest in law and politics, and many shows and videos she watches reflect this interest. In the future, Jay plans on continuing her studies by pursuing an MFA or to pursue a law degree.
